Late.. but worth the wait...

Thanks to our 101 students!!!

I would like thank the three 101 students that came out last Sunday to El Toro.

Since I can't remember their names and I don't have photos of them I am going to replace their faces with someone else that looks close to them...

Thanks for flying all the way out from Indiana and attending Drift 101

She also came out from Indiana with the gentleman above....

I hope you enjoyed your High School graduation present... Hope to see you for Drift 102 sooon!

Once again.. The people above are not the actual people who attended the event... Just look-a-likes...

Finally found a photos of the crashed Megan Racing S13

On Cyrus's third practice lap, he hit the wall. The image doesn't really show how much damage there really was. The entire front driver's side was pushed in a good half inch. We had to replace:

1. Front lower control arm
2. Tension rod
3. Inner Tie rod
4. Hammer out the inner fender well.
5. Replace front wheel.

Luckily we brought plenty of spare parts... Thanks Taka for the advice.

Thanks to cardomain.com for posting the photos..

Happy but depressed

So last weekend I embarked on a journey of epic proportions. I went to support Cyrus Martinez for the opportunity at getting his license at the Pro Am finals.

On they way to the venue, we got into an accident. After driving for 14 hours, I decided to let Cyrus take over the wheel. 10 minutes in the drive, and we get rear ended by a driver.

The trailer wasn't badly damaged but it still looks terrible....

That is not the part the depresses me...

It's been a while since I had been at a Formula Drift event without being involved in the hosting part... I actually had time to look around in the pits and actually interact with some of the drivers...

It seems like there are two personalities to every driver. There is the one you perceive when they are driving and there is the truth.. It really sucks to hear the "reality" because at times, there is nothing I can do about it.... I hope someone with a heart and a good soul can actually do something for them because it is really tough to know certain things about these drivers without the ability to help them the way they should be helped....

Here is shot of cyrus at Seattle as we are leaving the venue... I drove for 20 hours... Not bad for an old man...

Hopefully, our resident photographer (aka The Melonator) will send me more photos to post...

Old school misc. photos of the day...

Circa 2006. On the way back home after visiting Laughlin for the first time. I rented a car and headed out there to look at the parking lot which would eventually become the Pro Am finals competition course...

Circa 2006. Going through a tunnel in Arizona after a long weekend co-operating GT live in Phoenix. I was driving a rental van with a ton of stuff from HKS and Tanaguchi's Aristo. There must have been at least 6-7 g's worth of wheels in the back...

Circa 2004. Driving somewhere in Chicago... This was a visit prior to the RS-R Drift Festival
